20-21 April 2009:  M-CRIL's Managing Director visited Pakistan at the invitation of PILDAT, a leading policy advocacy organisation of that country.  He was privileged to address Members of the National Assembly in Islamabad and Members of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab in Lahore on microfinance operating costs, working practices in disbursement and collection and the related issue of interest rates.  Honourable Members sought his opinion on the spread and efficacy of microfinance in Pakistan in the context of international experience.
